Dear Glastonbury Little League Families,
As the fall baseball and softball seasons come to an end this month, we wrap up the 2024 season and reflect on a truly remarkable year—our 60th anniversary! This milestone is a testament to the enduring spirit and dedication of our community, players, coaches, and volunteers. Over 900 players participated in baseball and softball this year in Glastonbury Little League.
This season is particularly special as we bid farewell to our beloved president, Don Longtin. After an incredible 57 years of service, Don has decided to retire. His unwavering commitment and passion have been the cornerstone of our league, and his legacy will continue to inspire us for many years to come. We cannot thank Don enough for his decades of leadership and dedication. Don has left an indelible mark on Glastonbury Little League, and we wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.
As we say goodbye to Don, we are excited to welcome Bill Longo as our new president. Bill brings 25 years of experience on the Glastonbury Little League Board of Directors, most recently as league vice president and softball commissioner. He has a wealth of Little League experience and a deep love for baseball and softball. We are confident that under his leadership, Glastonbury Little League will continue to thrive and grow. Please join us in welcoming Bill to his new role.
To our players, thank you for your hard work, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. You are the heart of our league, and watching you grow and develop both on and off the field is a joy. To our coaches and volunteers, your dedication and countless hours of support make everything possible. We are deeply grateful for all you do.
As we look forward to the 2025 season, registration will begin on December 1, 2024. Let’s carry forward the spirit of teamwork, respect, and love for the game that has defined Glastonbury Little League the last 60 years.
