If you find out that you have some weaker hitters strung together, you will have some short half innings. It makes learning about your hitters a priority in the spring training practice games rather than concentrating on defensive skills. I believe that we will not sacrifice the competitive nature of the game while making the season more enjoyable for the lesser experienced batters.
